Wanna breakaway from an uncool routine life?

How uncool is your routine?

You wake up, you probably don't have a job, you check your mails, no job offering yet, your boyfriend isn't calling, you check your fridge, same ol'same ol', nothing new, you turn on the tv, you've seen this movie before, your library looks a little old, you've read them all before. You look in the mirror, now you have a problem with your nose, your eyebrows just need to be trimmed. You hate your ties, you need to change your wardrobe, there are a few messages on your bbm that you need to answer to, your friends want to hang out again, same friends, same place, same food, same jokes, you're back home, dinner, bedtime. The end.

Or maybe you do have a job or you run a company, then mails mails mails, meetings meetings meetings, customer visits, same customer, same order, same annoying colleagues, same furniture, same coffee table same opening and closing hour....you're bored.

Or perhaps you're married, same...you're probably thinking, gosh! Forever is long, is this all it's going to be?

let's just stop...do we always have to wait for excitement to fall on our laps?

You can actually be the flavour. Most of life is basically routine, whether it's in your job, marriage, dating life, family life, keeping a home can be routine, church services are routine, a lot in life is just routine, but we can also take it to mean order. How would you feel if one day, according to Chris in the picture above, your routine gets disrupted by a distaster, why not be grateful for that routine now?

Only the living can have them, thank God for life. Here are a few suggestions to put some excitement into your routine.

  1. Don't just sit around complaining and waiting for someone to do something exciting, you can start something different. Be the flavour, even if others don't reciprocate, you'll at least be doing yourself a favour "Your own soul is nourished when you are kind"...even to your S.O
  2. Buy a small gift for someone, why? No reason..just do it...tip the pizza boy, get your colleague a lumbar back support, order cakes for your team members out of the blues, even if it's just once in a year that you do this...hehe
  3. Ask yourself "What have I done today in the direction of my purpose on earth?"...This one works all the time, always do something, consciously, about fulfiling your purpose on earth, if you don't know what to do, think about it, that too would be out of the box and super useful in helping you attain the life of your dreams.
  4.  Play with your food, maybe it's the same meal, but you can plate it differently, even if it means using your spoon to split the rice in 4 different portions on the same plate. Mix flavours, get new dishes or cutlery, etc
  5. Take selfies, it's amazing how it's the same you but you're different in every picture, call your friends together to take pictures too.
  6. Never stop learning...look for something new to learn everyday. From the arts to the kitchen, to sciences and law, make up, seminars, how to series, self-help series, family life and parenting books...etc...go crazy...just learn, you never know when you might need them, and you may be learning for somebody too, learning to save a life, learning even for your unborn kids...
  7. Move furniture..same furniture but when they change positions, you get a different feel. Some of you know what I'm saying...hehe
  8. Try a new look ladies, especially, don't be afraid to play with your hair...it costs little to nothing to achieve.
  9. Love yourself more, date yourself, treat yourself right, and if you're married, you know 'yourself' here refers to your Significant Other..yep, you're one body
  10. Call your friends and family on the phone, or do a small get-together, doesn't have to be elaborate, it doesn't have to be your birthday, have a slumber party, come together to watch a cooking video and try out stuff... Friends and family may seem boring but they may never go away..sometimes, they're all you really got
If you have anymore suggestions, feel free to paste them in the comments section. They'll be very much appreciated.

You're alive, you have energy, you have a chance to be everything you want to be, don't blame your dormancy on any routine, you have our own destiny to fulfill here, be positive and go about it with excitement.

The joy that God gives you, is your strength.

GRAB THAT PILLOW: Will I be poor if I take this nap?

A Lion Sleeps For 18hrs.
A Donkey Sleeps 2 hrs.
If Hard Work Really Pays..Donkey Would Have Been..King of The Jungle:)

-Dr Mike Murdock (tweet)

This quote  by Dr. Mike is powerful, all we need is God's favour and grace to make our results superceed our effort.

But I got confused about what the scriptues say in Proverbs 6:6-11:

A Lesson from the Ant

6-11
You lazy fool, look at an ant.
Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two.
Nobody has to tell it what to do.
    All summer it stores up food;
    at harvest it stockpiles provisions.
So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing?
How long before you get out of bed?
A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there,
sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next?
Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life,
    poverty your permanent houseguest! (MSG)

This passage repeats itself in Proverbs 24:33,34.
I do believe that this passage refers to lazy people. It doesn't mean that you have to deprive yourself of rest when you need one. You're human, your body needs a break from all this labor and you're always better for it when you treat yourself right once in a while.

Psalm 127 verse 2 explains this "In vain do you get up early and put off going to bed, working hard to earn a living; for he provides for his beloved, even when they sleep. "

Scripture has lots of passages on sleep and rest and how God will make you enjoy your sleep. Why do people only have to hammer on "A little sleep..." like we have the world in our hands and if we sleep, everything will go wrong?

Some of the verses I found read:

"I will make a covenant of peace with my people and drive away the dangerous animals from the land. Then they will be able to camp safely in the wildest places and sleep in the woods without fear.” Ezekiel 34:25

"You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor." Job 11:18-19

"When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet." Proverbs 3:24

Still feel guilty about an hour nap? The Lord does not let the righteous go hungry.(Prov 10:3)
Let's just say sleep wisely. And know that if God doesn't breathe life and shower favour on whatever you struggle to achieve, you may just have labored in vain. Psalm 3:5 reads, "I lie down and sleep, I wake again because the Lord sustains me."

We do not disregard Prov.6:11 and it's cross references, because they also apply to daily living and can be considered figuratively too, but when you've done your best and you know you ought to do your eyes and your body and your brain good, by hitting the sack...Just Do It!

When you're aiming at a goal, your job is to cast your bread and believe, everything else is time and chance, and God's grace!!!

Say it to yourself

There are so many things in life against us already, don't be against yourself.

Say positive things to your spirit, your soul feeds on it. Your future feeds on it. Imagine that your future was a lovely child with great potentials, or maybe you can't see the potentials yet, would you leave it to die malnourished if it would cost you nothing to feed it?

It wouldn't cost you a dime to say those things you want to see.
Keep working toward the future you pray for, the works of your hands are the seeds that God will bless. His plans are to give you a future and a hope.

Never stop believing in the power of your words.

Choose between having everything you ever want in life and...

Hmmm...

If I could only turn them into cash
Yesssss!!! I have everything I need!!!

So, I asked my friends to choose between having everything you want in life and being able to change anything into money, while everyone else settled for having everything they want in life, very few said they'd go for the gift of turning anything into money.

I spent some time with a friend, Collince, his argument was that, if he had everything he wanted in life, there'd be nothing more to live for, life would  become boring and uninteresting.

I felt, if I have everything, there wouldn't be any more need for that human interaction that comes with daily/regular exchange, I don't know? Just my thought. What would I be needing anybody for? I might as well be a caveman and hide indoors for a hundred years.

What about you? What do you think? I really want to have everything I want...it's your turn...
