Can you pray and have confidence without repeating the request?

Do you pray over and over for the same meal when you sit to eat?

That's faith! You know the food is blessed, you know God heard you, you go on and eat it and you're healthy and bubbly, so why is it different when we pray for more pressing needs?

It's not more difficult for God to hear your cry than it is for Him to bless your food...it can be really tempting to keep reminding God when you're desperate, I have a clear notice at the entrance of my room, u see it as soon as u open the door,

"God heard you, just be patient"

Praising while you wait also helps your heart feel merry, Jesus gave a clear instruction when He said "Let not your heart be troubled"

You can pray amiss but you can't praise amiss. God inhabits praises, invite him with words and melodies of adoration. Keep singing His words back to Him, and praise Him with the loving expressions of your soul, because you know He always comes through, "it is through faith and patience that we inherit the promise" while you wait, praise, and have this confidence, according to 1 John 5:14-15

14 This is the [remarkable degree of] confidence which we [as believers are entitled to] have before Him: that [a]if we ask anything according to His will, [that is, consistent with His plan and purpose] He hears us. 15 And if we know [for a fact, as indeed we do] that He hears and listens to us in whatever we ask, we [also] know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted to us] the requests which we have asked from Him.

Let them know I got you

I have done a lot of crazy things for love. Not every time, I don't fall in love all the time but when I do..., and some of those crazy things, I never share, they just serve as means to an end, and when the final result is perfect, I act like it was effortless...I smile like it cost me no pain, no stress, I didn't work so hard, I'm just happy to see the outcome and the priceless look on the face of the mortal that inadvertently made me a secret superwoman.

I don't even seek the chance to say "You won't imagine the crazy hell I went through to get this, or the stupid things I did or how I fooled myself to make sure I got out of work to see you or how I had to use my school fees to get on that flight and stuff like that". You all know all the fences you have jumped over and things you have borrowed and the people you have slapped to make someone you love feel great.

Sometimes, when we need to have a good laugh, we may share with our friends, or tell the story using the third person, some of us even call that 'person' my friend or 'one of my friends', smh... Love can bring out the idiot in you.

The annoying part sometimes is when we never shut up. The world knows we have fallen in love, that we met someone, we don't care if anyone gets jealous, very few times, the idea is to make everyone know that you've got something sweet that should be envied, desired, you've found your happiness, your haven in life, a perfect lady or gentleman. Love never shuts up, love doesn't keep quiet. Even though we like our privacy, something inside us wants to explode and say "I've found my happy, love her till death".

We share photos on all the social platforms, tweet about them, take them to almost every gathering, have their photos on our tables. But isn't that part of what love is about?

Should I not be worried if I love someone, or I think I'm in love with someone and he doesn't treat me the way I treat him or plan to, or even half as much, or is ashamed of me?

Shouldn't I panic if other 'seekers' don't know yet that he's got me, and may never know, because he will never tell? Some of my guy friends have whispered to me about how they show-off their special lady but she's never displayed them on any social network or said anything sweet about them anywhere. "I guess she likes to keep her private life private, or she's not sure it will last and can't keep changing photos and names when everyone's watching..." that's often my consolation speech.

Enough about mortals and their conditional love. Some of the people we love with so much excitement are not even so deserving...yet there's someone else we could have spent as much energy on...

This post is about Jesus, He's not man, and I may be wrong to say he feels just as we do when our significant other doesn't carry us with pride, but love is universal, the song of the universe, when love is love, it burns, even when we don't feel like love, if we're still committed, we still do acts of love.

If I love God, and I don't tell the world about Him, I'm not so proud of Him. I could love Him in secret, praise Him in my car, give huge donations in church, fast and pray in secret, but he hasn't become my pride...

He might as well be my ugly maga boyfriend whom I just want to manage because He's rich and He gives me everything I need. He might as well be one guy on the side who thinks he's the one but I'm really looking for something better with which to replace him...

"I don't want to mess my profile up with some Jesus post, I may loose all my friends and followers."

"If I talk about Jesus, I could lose my job, expose myself to persecution and die before my time." But how do you know when it's your time... Sometimes you have to be still to hear your heart beating but Jesus hears it all the time, He knows how many beats you've had and how many more are left... He loves you so much, if you're not proud of Him, it will break His heart like the heart of a poor mother would shatter when she is denied in public by her tear-eye* daughter.

If you are ashamed of Him, He will deny you also before His Father. We are still graced in this part of the country that we can express our religion freely. Go beyond religion...show passion for Christ. You don't need a pulpit, show Him off anyhow.

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes...

Dr. Mike Murdock says "Leave no love unspoken and unused inside you, that too is an emptied life"

I always tell my friends "Why be a small boy's secret, when you can be a real man's pride"... I don't think Jesus wants to be your secret either...

Go tell them about Jesus, do something crazy and smile about it... Tell me how you felt when you're done. *wink*

Wanna breakaway from an uncool routine life?

How uncool is your routine?

You wake up, you probably don't have a job, you check your mails, no job offering yet, your boyfriend isn't calling, you check your fridge, same ol'same ol', nothing new, you turn on the tv, you've seen this movie before, your library looks a little old, you've read them all before. You look in the mirror, now you have a problem with your nose, your eyebrows just need to be trimmed. You hate your ties, you need to change your wardrobe, there are a few messages on your bbm that you need to answer to, your friends want to hang out again, same friends, same place, same food, same jokes, you're back home, dinner, bedtime. The end.

Or maybe you do have a job or you run a company, then mails mails mails, meetings meetings meetings, customer visits, same customer, same order, same annoying colleagues, same furniture, same coffee table same opening and closing hour....you're bored.

Or perhaps you're married, same...you're probably thinking, gosh! Forever is long, is this all it's going to be?

let's just stop...do we always have to wait for excitement to fall on our laps?

You can actually be the flavour. Most of life is basically routine, whether it's in your job, marriage, dating life, family life, keeping a home can be routine, church services are routine, a lot in life is just routine, but we can also take it to mean order. How would you feel if one day, according to Chris in the picture above, your routine gets disrupted by a distaster, why not be grateful for that routine now?

Only the living can have them, thank God for life. Here are a few suggestions to put some excitement into your routine.

  1. Don't just sit around complaining and waiting for someone to do something exciting, you can start something different. Be the flavour, even if others don't reciprocate, you'll at least be doing yourself a favour "Your own soul is nourished when you are kind"...even to your S.O
  2. Buy a small gift for someone, why? No reason..just do it...tip the pizza boy, get your colleague a lumbar back support, order cakes for your team members out of the blues, even if it's just once in a year that you do this...hehe
  3. Ask yourself "What have I done today in the direction of my purpose on earth?"...This one works all the time, always do something, consciously, about fulfiling your purpose on earth, if you don't know what to do, think about it, that too would be out of the box and super useful in helping you attain the life of your dreams.
  4.  Play with your food, maybe it's the same meal, but you can plate it differently, even if it means using your spoon to split the rice in 4 different portions on the same plate. Mix flavours, get new dishes or cutlery, etc
  5. Take selfies, it's amazing how it's the same you but you're different in every picture, call your friends together to take pictures too.
  6. Never stop learning...look for something new to learn everyday. From the arts to the kitchen, to sciences and law, make up, seminars, how to series, self-help series, family life and parenting books...etc...go crazy...just learn, you never know when you might need them, and you may be learning for somebody too, learning to save a life, learning even for your unborn kids...
  7. Move furniture..same furniture but when they change positions, you get a different feel. Some of you know what I'm saying...hehe
  8. Try a new look ladies, especially, don't be afraid to play with your hair...it costs little to nothing to achieve.
  9. Love yourself more, date yourself, treat yourself right, and if you're married, you know 'yourself' here refers to your Significant Other..yep, you're one body
  10. Call your friends and family on the phone, or do a small get-together, doesn't have to be elaborate, it doesn't have to be your birthday, have a slumber party, come together to watch a cooking video and try out stuff... Friends and family may seem boring but they may never go away..sometimes, they're all you really got
If you have anymore suggestions, feel free to paste them in the comments section. They'll be very much appreciated.

You're alive, you have energy, you have a chance to be everything you want to be, don't blame your dormancy on any routine, you have our own destiny to fulfill here, be positive and go about it with excitement.

The joy that God gives you, is your strength.

GRAB THAT PILLOW: Will I be poor if I take this nap?

A Lion Sleeps For 18hrs.
A Donkey Sleeps 2 hrs.
If Hard Work Really Pays..Donkey Would Have Been..King of The Jungle:)

-Dr Mike Murdock (tweet)

This quote  by Dr. Mike is powerful, all we need is God's favour and grace to make our results superceed our effort.

But I got confused about what the scriptues say in Proverbs 6:6-11:

A Lesson from the Ant

6-11
You lazy fool, look at an ant.
Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two.
Nobody has to tell it what to do.
    All summer it stores up food;
    at harvest it stockpiles provisions.
So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing?
How long before you get out of bed?
A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there,
sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next?
Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life,
    poverty your permanent houseguest! (MSG)

This passage repeats itself in Proverbs 24:33,34.
I do believe that this passage refers to lazy people. It doesn't mean that you have to deprive yourself of rest when you need one. You're human, your body needs a break from all this labor and you're always better for it when you treat yourself right once in a while.

Psalm 127 verse 2 explains this "In vain do you get up early and put off going to bed, working hard to earn a living; for he provides for his beloved, even when they sleep. "

Scripture has lots of passages on sleep and rest and how God will make you enjoy your sleep. Why do people only have to hammer on "A little sleep..." like we have the world in our hands and if we sleep, everything will go wrong?

Some of the verses I found read:

"I will make a covenant of peace with my people and drive away the dangerous animals from the land. Then they will be able to camp safely in the wildest places and sleep in the woods without fear.” Ezekiel 34:25

"You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor." Job 11:18-19

"When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet." Proverbs 3:24

Still feel guilty about an hour nap? The Lord does not let the righteous go hungry.(Prov 10:3)
Let's just say sleep wisely. And know that if God doesn't breathe life and shower favour on whatever you struggle to achieve, you may just have labored in vain. Psalm 3:5 reads, "I lie down and sleep, I wake again because the Lord sustains me."

We do not disregard Prov.6:11 and it's cross references, because they also apply to daily living and can be considered figuratively too, but when you've done your best and you know you ought to do your eyes and your body and your brain good, by hitting the sack...Just Do It!

When you're aiming at a goal, your job is to cast your bread and believe, everything else is time and chance, and God's grace!!!

Say it to yourself

There are so many things in life against us already, don't be against yourself.

Say positive things to your spirit, your soul feeds on it. Your future feeds on it. Imagine that your future was a lovely child with great potentials, or maybe you can't see the potentials yet, would you leave it to die malnourished if it would cost you nothing to feed it?

It wouldn't cost you a dime to say those things you want to see.
Keep working toward the future you pray for, the works of your hands are the seeds that God will bless. His plans are to give you a future and a hope.

Never stop believing in the power of your words.

Prepare for High Places

The idea is to stand among kings, I choose to be diligent.

It's not so much about how much I earn now, or how many people are making things comfortable or uncomfortable around me. Scripture says "Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings, he shall not stand before mean men." Proverbs 22:29

Seed time and harvest time will never cease, keep being your best where you are, keep God first place, maintain your integrity and strive for excellence, turn your talents to skills, develop your pearls, work through the criticisms, your payday is coming.

1Sam 2:8 "He raises the poor from the dust, He seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honour"

We cant afford to be irrelevant, God has prepared you for higher places 1 Cor 2:9 "Eye hath not seen..."
