Can you pray and have confidence without repeating the request?

Do you pray over and over for the same meal when you sit to eat?

That's faith! You know the food is blessed, you know God heard you, you go on and eat it and you're healthy and bubbly, so why is it different when we pray for more pressing needs?

It's not more difficult for God to hear your cry than it is for Him to bless your food...it can be really tempting to keep reminding God when you're desperate, I have a clear notice at the entrance of my room, u see it as soon as u open the door,

"God heard you, just be patient"

Praising while you wait also helps your heart feel merry, Jesus gave a clear instruction when He said "Let not your heart be troubled"

You can pray amiss but you can't praise amiss. God inhabits praises, invite him with words and melodies of adoration. Keep singing His words back to Him, and praise Him with the loving expressions of your soul, because you know He always comes through, "it is through faith and patience that we inherit the promise" while you wait, praise, and have this confidence, according to 1 John 5:14-15

14 This is the [remarkable degree of] confidence which we [as believers are entitled to] have before Him: that [a]if we ask anything according to His will, [that is, consistent with His plan and purpose] He hears us. 15 And if we know [for a fact, as indeed we do] that He hears and listens to us in whatever we ask, we [also] know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted to us] the requests which we have asked from Him.

GRAB THAT PILLOW: Will I be poor if I take this nap?

A Lion Sleeps For 18hrs.
A Donkey Sleeps 2 hrs.
If Hard Work Really Pays..Donkey Would Have Been..King of The Jungle:)

-Dr Mike Murdock (tweet)

This quote  by Dr. Mike is powerful, all we need is God's favour and grace to make our results superceed our effort.

But I got confused about what the scriptues say in Proverbs 6:6-11:

A Lesson from the Ant

6-11
You lazy fool, look at an ant.
Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two.
Nobody has to tell it what to do.
    All summer it stores up food;
    at harvest it stockpiles provisions.
So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing?
How long before you get out of bed?
A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there,
sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next?
Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life,
    poverty your permanent houseguest! (MSG)

This passage repeats itself in Proverbs 24:33,34.
I do believe that this passage refers to lazy people. It doesn't mean that you have to deprive yourself of rest when you need one. You're human, your body needs a break from all this labor and you're always better for it when you treat yourself right once in a while.

Psalm 127 verse 2 explains this "In vain do you get up early and put off going to bed, working hard to earn a living; for he provides for his beloved, even when they sleep. "

Scripture has lots of passages on sleep and rest and how God will make you enjoy your sleep. Why do people only have to hammer on "A little sleep..." like we have the world in our hands and if we sleep, everything will go wrong?

Some of the verses I found read:

"I will make a covenant of peace with my people and drive away the dangerous animals from the land. Then they will be able to camp safely in the wildest places and sleep in the woods without fear.” Ezekiel 34:25

"You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor." Job 11:18-19

"When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet." Proverbs 3:24

Still feel guilty about an hour nap? The Lord does not let the righteous go hungry.(Prov 10:3)
Let's just say sleep wisely. And know that if God doesn't breathe life and shower favour on whatever you struggle to achieve, you may just have labored in vain. Psalm 3:5 reads, "I lie down and sleep, I wake again because the Lord sustains me."

We do not disregard Prov.6:11 and it's cross references, because they also apply to daily living and can be considered figuratively too, but when you've done your best and you know you ought to do your eyes and your body and your brain good, by hitting the sack...Just Do It!

When you're aiming at a goal, your job is to cast your bread and believe, everything else is time and chance, and God's grace!!!

Say it to yourself

There are so many things in life against us already, don't be against yourself.

Say positive things to your spirit, your soul feeds on it. Your future feeds on it. Imagine that your future was a lovely child with great potentials, or maybe you can't see the potentials yet, would you leave it to die malnourished if it would cost you nothing to feed it?

It wouldn't cost you a dime to say those things you want to see.
Keep working toward the future you pray for, the works of your hands are the seeds that God will bless. His plans are to give you a future and a hope.

Never stop believing in the power of your words.

THE JOY OF CLIMBING

You never really arrive, it's always too early to brag. No matter where you are now, there's somewhere better. God is still preparing you.

Pride goes before destruction (Prov 16:18)

Recognize also that humility is so delicate that simply admitting that you possess it is a sign of pride. Know that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.(1 Peter 5:5), Scripture also admonishes us to come boldly before God's throne of grace that we may obtain mercy (Heb 4:16) . This boldness isn't referring to arrogance, but confidence in who God is, and in what He can offer.

Matthew 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit..."
Remember the story of the Pharisee and the tax collector in Luke 18:9-14. Only the tax collector went home justified because he was humble.

God still has so much for you that you haven't seen yet(1 Cor 2:9). We cant afford to be complacent now, for the path of the just is like a shinning light that shinneth brighter and brighter!

Dance your victory dance, share your testimony, praise God ceaslessly, and retain an attitude of reverence, remembering that you got this land by God's right hand and favour...PSALMS 44:3

I had a funny dream last night...

This is pretty much marketing but in my dream last night, i left my Samsung Galaxy note 3 on the table in some public place and went out.

On my return in the evening, it so happened that everyone was complaining, the place had just been robbed. In reality, I have lost my phones many times, not out of carelessness, I get robbed. But in this dream, seeing that my phone was just where I left it on the table was not only surprising for me but also placed me on some kind of guilt trip because everyone else was robbed of something worth less, just as much and even more than that note 3+gear.

With that awkward blend of sadness, surprise, pity, guilt and empathy, I asked them "How come nobody took my phone? How come I wasn't robbed, it's right here, just where I left it".

And then somebody among them answered, "Your bluetooth is on, that's why?"

"That's crazy! how can they not take my phone just because the bluetooth is on?"

"O you don't get it, you're connected, you're transmitting, giving or receiving, they didn't want to alter the connection, they'll get caught".

I woke up, got to work, forgot about the dream. Then I saw a colleague's Note 2 and the dream came back to my head in a flash. I thought it was funny so I decided to share it with a friend. Laughing over it as I said, "Can you imagine, how can they just not steal my phone because it's connected, or it's transmitting???"

That's it! I exclaimed, that's the idea. There's a message to it.

I didn't get robed because I was connected. Psalm 91:7 "A thousand may fall at your side , ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you."

This may have been a funny dream, something that can rarely happen in real life, but trust me there have been similar incidences in reality where God spares His own from harm and damage.

I've shared the dream, now spread the message.

Have a beautiful day!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart.

The Bible is full of passages where we are encouraged to trust God.

Cursed is he that puts his trust in man.

This is a really simple message, Trust God, what He has promised will surely come to pass. Even if you know no man, hold on to your God.

A God-made will never be moved, like Mount Zion, you will abide forever.

Ps: That is me in the photo

How can we explain this grace?

One out of a million instances we can use is the case of a student in school who's got exams but but hasn't had the time to study. Or perhaps has had time but just hasn't had the will.

And then a day to that test, he flips through the pages of his textbooks, goes for the test, aces it, in fact,  in some cases, he has the highest grades. Some people would think the teacher is just giving him preferential treatment or that he's doing something to influence his grades, but that's one example of the interventions of grace.

So we can say that grace is what happened for you in moments when your prayers didn't match your preparation, when your results supercede your effort, when you needed divine help to meet your goals.

Sometimes when people attempt to use your approach to these same circumstances, they never get away with it, they dont have it as easy. Some people have to work hard, while some have the grace of ease.  It's not luck. It's God's favour,  God's grace, making you enjoy preferential treatment,  making you enjoy speed,  bountiful harvests and making people go out of their way to bw good to you.

"Thou anointed my head with oil, (oil makes things shine/flow/swing smoothly) my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days of my life..." psalm 23: 4b

Prepare for High Places

The idea is to stand among kings, I choose to be diligent.

It's not so much about how much I earn now, or how many people are making things comfortable or uncomfortable around me. Scripture says "Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings, he shall not stand before mean men." Proverbs 22:29

Seed time and harvest time will never cease, keep being your best where you are, keep God first place, maintain your integrity and strive for excellence, turn your talents to skills, develop your pearls, work through the criticisms, your payday is coming.

1Sam 2:8 "He raises the poor from the dust, He seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honour"

We cant afford to be irrelevant, God has prepared you for higher places 1 Cor 2:9 "Eye hath not seen..."

Trust God's timing

Quit worrying about who is getting ahead of you and just run your race. Be the best that you can be, keep honoring God with your life and treat people right. That promotion, breakthrough, healing, and that right person, wont be a second late, when it's your set time.

We serve a precise God, He's not a random God. he already established the set time the moment the promise took root.

Hebrews 2:3, one translation says "it wont  be one second late".

God knows how to make up for what seems like lost time.

Believe in God

Hebrews 3:19 " So we see that because of their unbelief,  they were not able to enter His rest".

Fear is faith that something bad will happen. Do you remember what Job said in Job 3:35??? He said the thing which he greatly feared has come upon him.

Jesus said in John 14:1, Let not your heart be troubled,  believe in God, believe also in me...

I think this is an indicator that letting your heart get troubled is a sure sign that you dont think God can do it. You've got to find a way out to help yourself because you feel time is not on your side,  God is probably not going to be on time...No, quit doubting.  It is through faith and patience that we inherit the promise.Heb 6:12

God made you, He knows exactly what you need and He knows how to give it to you. Just keep the right attitude,  Joel Osteen would say honour God,  keep Him first place, be good to people.

Scripture says in Proverbs 23:18, Surely there is an end and your expectations will not be cut off. Ephesians 3:20 reiterates that God is able to do infinitely more than we can ask or think through His power at work within us.

His power at work in me is NOT a tiny, insignificant one. I know my God, I'll be strong and do exploits. Keep that attitude,  don't limit God. He has a greater plan for you than you or any man can imagine. (1cor 2:9)

So you think you have plans for your life??? Then imagine what the one who made you conceived before you were formed...An amazing one! It will amaze you.

Quit worrying,  quit doubting,  just keep on thanking God for His steadfast love. Forget about all your needs for a moment and concentrate on God, for He is before all things,  and in Him all things consist.  Col1:17

Get busy pursuing your dreams

I think about how I used to be a wonderful singer, back then in kids choir, on to teenage choir  then the big choir in church.

Then the decline started when I wouldn't join the choir in school cos my sister was there already,  and I didn't want to steal anyone's thunder.

I joined another team and thot I was happy. But was I?

When you aren't doing what God has called you to do, u feel a certain pain, a certain uneasiness.  You know something is missing in your life, you're not living yet.

Life is about finding and fulfilling purpose, you're favoured to have found your purpose, now get to fulfilling it.

What God starts,  He finishes. You cant do it by yourself without God's favour.

Yestrday, the first of February,  I would say I started living afresh.  Cos I reviewed my goals  my life, took giant steps and said Hey! I want to sing!!!

Use it or loose it. The gift of singing is really delicate. My voice isn't as good now as it was ten years ago, I kept thinking to myself. But with God's grace and favour, knowing that God is pleased with my new decision to pursue my dreams, I know He'll crown my efforts with success. Maybe this is the set time. I guess it's time for my ministry to begin.

God will bring all the favour that is required to accomplish your God-given dreams. Quit working on the figures and facts, believe that we have a God of wonders; He turned water to wine, parted the red sea, helped Joseph bring his dreams to pass, even after many years.

DONT EVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF!

A big miracle

Amazing!

Many of us have experienced it, but it doesnt happen just once in a life time. And if you still  havent had one of those Big miracles that sound like a lie, prepare.  You only need to make room for it by believing.  Dont limit God, there's really nothing He cant do.

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT BELIEVES.
